Qwyk signs collaborative deal with Chain.io

Qwyk, the digital freight start-up, has signed an agreement with Chain.io, the logistics integration platform for 3PLs, digital forwarders, shippers and SaaS providers.

PHILADELPHIA-Nov. 7, 2019 - Qwyk, the digital freight start-up, has signed an agreement with Chain.io, the logistics integration platform for 3PLs, digital forwarders, shippers and SaaS providers.

The new integration, launching on November 1, will see a broad range of possible data exchange and integration between the two platforms and all trading partners connected by Chain.io, whenever required by a customer.

"By working with Chain.io, we will be able to offer more 3PLs access to the largest database for global sailing schedules and a range of solutions aimed at helping logistics companies utilize new technology. We are very excited by this development as it will help us to further expand our reach into the 3PL sector," said Martyn Verhaegen, CEO and Founder of Qwyk. "The advantage for our current and future clients is the simplicity with which we will be able to integrate with their TMS systems to significantly reduce process costs"

Chain.io will collaborate with Qwyk to integrate booking and submissions to a Transport Management System (TMS), air and ocean schedules feed to TMS, ocean rate feeds from third-party rating engines to Qwyk and quote feeds from Qwyk to a TMS system.

"We're excited that Qwyk has joined our digital platform," said Brian Glick, Chain.io's CEO. "Fast, efficient integration is a key factor in advancing logistics providers' digital journeys, and we're excited to help out."

The main benefit of the Chain.io platform is offering direct access to the major TMS systems in the forwarding world - and now also to and from Qwyk. Logistics companies using major TMS packages will no longer need to build their own API or EDI connections, they can simply add Qwyk to their providers list.
